We know all about Park West Galleries,as we have gone to auctions both on land and at sea. We recently stepped off a Holland America 11 day Cruise August 2014 and want to share our experience that we encountered with Park West. First of all Holland America is a wonderful ship with outstanding hospitality. On this cruise there were two at sea days where you can go to the pool, gamble, or go to an... Read more

I purchased art on-board Celebrity in April 2014. When I returned to the US from Spain in May 2014, I decided that I could not afford the purchase due to home remodeling costing more than anticipated. I contacted Park West within the timeframe allotted and canceled all but one piece. Per their contract, receipt of the art takes from 6-8 weeks so nothing had been shipped when the order was... On February 28, 2014 I met with Park West representatives aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise to purchase a couple of pieces of art that I was interested in. While working the paperwork they offered me 4 more pieces of art at very large prices, explaining that the artist's work should be in everyones home because he is the Andy Warhol of today. They gave me such a great deal that I couldn't resist.... Read more

I've never written a report like this but I felt compelled. They work on cruise ships so they can get around laws that keep them from ripping you off. They didn't send me a piece of art and were falsely advirtising the art that was on the ship. They were telling me it would normally be sold for $1,000+ but "because we're in at sea we can charge you much less because we avoid taxes"... Read more

I had recently entered a complaint against Parkwest Galleries and how they were not understanding to a complaint made about art work purchased on a recent cruise on the Celebrity Ship Equinox. Well I want to tell everyone that I was contacted by Parkwest personally and had a chance to discuss my problem. What a very understanding group of people they are. I worked with Lisa Hershberger over the... Read more

Recently we were aboard the Celebrity Cruise Ship Equinox. We bought $41,000 worth of Peter Max art work. When we returned home due to personal reasons we had to cancel the order. Park West kept 15% of the money as a cancellation fee. When the art was purchased we were told we had 40 days to cancel the order or exchange art work. Nothing was ever said as to the 15% fee to cancel, as a matter of... Read more

We purchased ten pieces of art from Park west gallery on a cruise ship and did not receive what we bought . We have been deceived by a great deal of hype at the auctions . When we purchased pieces we were not told that what we saw was not what we would receive . Inferior pieces less than poster quality . Framed with plastic not glass as advised and most pieces loose in frames as not backed... Read more
